The fight at Standing Rock has become the proving ground for an even larger problem in the United States. It is a fight between the will of our citizens and native Americans against the strength of the corporations and the people in government who have been bought off. It has also become a fight to defend the first Amendment and Journalism as big corporations continue to quell their voices. It is a fight that has become known nationally and internationally, and frankly, it is an embarrassment to the United States as it is further proof our nation is becoming a fascist empire. This kind of Dollar Democracy has gone on for too long. DAPL, the corporations and their unbridled greed want, even more than the oil itself, to break the will of the people and the spirit of the people. They (the corporations) can not be allowed to prevail.
